Welcome to the Miracle Blog Hop. My story is probably not a miracle in the same sense of some of the others, but it is very special to me. So I hope you enjoy it.
Six years ago, a one year old was brought into our lives. Since that time she has become a huge part of our family. Seanna is not our biological child nor is she a foster child. Her mom was struggling when my daughter friended her at the daycare they both worked at. Seanna's mom has continued to have many struggles over the years, and we have tried to support her as much as we could.( I think of her as a daughter also, even with all the struggles we have gone through )
In return she has allowed us to enjoy and be a part of her daughters life. What bigger blessing could we ask for? To us she is a little bit of a miracle everyday. Just a month ago, a judge said we have no rights or bond to this child because we are not 'blood' relation. That judge could not have been more wrong in my eyes. I could not love her more if we were blood related.
Over the years, I have nursed her through her boo-boos, fevers, bad dreams, scrapes and bruises. She has been on vacation trips with us to Virginia, New York, Tennesee, etc. (Next month we are taking her to Disney World in Florida.)
For the past year and a half has lived with us. She has her own room in our home. She is my granddaughter in every sense of the word and we love her more than anything. She is my girl. :)
Here is a picture I would like to share of her with my youngest daughter taken a few years ago on one of our trips to the family cottage in upstate New York. She is a happy, healthy, little red-head, which in itself is a miracle. Had we not come into her life, I don't know what kind of life she may have had, but what I do know is, without her in ours, we would truly be missing something.
And here she is in a picture taken this weekend of her before she went out with a friend for a birthday party trip to the ballet. My little angel...most times, anyway. :)
I am the last stop. Thanks for taking the time to participate in the Miracle Blog Hop. Hope you found some stories to brighten your day.
