Spring Has Sprung Blog Hop

For my project I made a little 4 X 4 book that turned out so adorable. I used Best Creations "A Walk in the Garden" paper. this paper is absolutely beautiful. I cringed when I cut it. LOL.  Flower Shoppe Cricut Cartridge was used for the front flower, then additional paper from K & Company " Lifes little Occasions" paper stack for the inner pages. 

Glitter tape, Liquid Pearls (love it), some bling, butterflies, buttons and ink to complete it. My new Zutter bind-it all was used to piece it all together. It is super cute and I am so happy with how it turned out. It was so much fun to make and actually very simple.

Today is actually my Birthday too!! Can you believe my mom

wanted to name me "Spring" when I was born....thank goodness she came to her senses. :) My wonderful family took me shopping over the weekend and spoiled me. A new shelf for my craftroom, two beautiful charms for my Pandora bracelet, a pedicure and a gift certificate to Hobby Lobby. They are all so wonderful. I am truly blessed and they mean the world to me. :)

The Letter of the Day is K

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Rooms "The Letter of the Day is K".  


Today I have used the Meow Lite Cartridge.  We love our animals and this is a 8 X 8 scrapbook page I made for one of our cats.  Eli is always trying to get into the fish tank in my sons room and so I thought this picture was appropriate.  :)  I cut the image at 3.5 inches.  I added some inking around the edges. Using DCWV Pets 4 X 6 Paper Stack, I trimmed the edges using some craft scissors and added some flower embellishments to jazz it up a little.  Simple, but cute.

Cards in an hour....

The other night I felt the need to craft but I knew I only had a short time available, so instead of pulling out the cricut, I grabbed some paper, some ink, ribbon, brads and some diecuts and here is what I came up with.  Thought they turned out pretty good. :)

A Thought and Prayer for a Friend...

Today I am showing a sympathy card I made for a friend of mine who lost her mother recently.  I found this image on the Inspired Heart cartridge and thought it was exactly what I was looking for. The Sentiment was from K Andrews -Sympathetic Sayings Stamps.


I hope it gave her a small sense of comfort.

Guest Designer for Crafty and Green

Hi everyone, this is Suzy's Crafts and today I am the guest designer for Crafty and Green. 

 I have followed the theme of girly!  I used the Cricut carts Ribbons and Rosettes and Forever Young.  And my Sentiment is from K Andrews - Amazing You Stamps.  

I started with a 4" X 6" card and added a pearlized tan background paper that I had. And then added some striped paper from my stash - Bo Bunny Smoochable. (Gorgeous paper!) Using some ink, I inked up the edges, added my cuts and sentiment and here it is.

I really enjoy the Rosettes but still have the hardest time making them. The Ribbon and Rosettes cart has such cute cuts on them though.  And Forever Young is a definite favorite of mine.

100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop

For this months hop, I am using the Preserves cartridge.  I cut the strawberry at 2.5 inches.  I also used K-Andrews Amazing You stamps.

I love this fun paper by Imaginesce from the Berrylicious Berry Patch collection. 

I also chose to use Easter 2010 cartridge and the Paper Trimmings cartridge and added a background from the Heirlooms cartridge.

This was originally going to be a 5 X 7 framed piece for my daughter, but I have chosen instead to make is a 12 X 12 framed piece. So tomorrow I will have to go pick up a new Scrapbook Frame from one of the craft stores. 

She also has decided she would like her name on it also. So deciding how I am going to add that. :)  I think I will add at the bottom with maybe a few flourishes or flowers, but nothing too overwhelming.

The cross was cut at 4.75 inches and the flourishes were cut at 1.33 inches.  I also added some Liquid Pearl in  Peacock and Pearl Platinum.
