Miracle Blog Hop

You should have come from Doris  -http://mybugandmecreate.blogspot.com. If you happened here by chance, please start at the beginning - pinkpolkadotscrapping.blogspot.com, so you don't miss out on any of the wonderful stories.

Welcome to the Miracle Blog Hop. My story is probably not a miracle in the same sense of some of the others, but it is very special to me. So I hope you enjoy it.

Six years ago, a one year old was brought into our lives. Since that time she has become a huge part of our family.  Seanna is not our biological child nor is she a foster child. Her mom was struggling when my daughter friended her at the daycare they both worked at. Seanna's mom has continued to have many struggles over the years, and we have tried to support her as much as we could.( I think of her as a daughter also, even with all the struggles we have gone through )

In return she has allowed us to enjoy and be a part of her daughters life. What bigger blessing could we ask for?  To us she is a little bit of a miracle everyday. Just a month ago, a judge said we have no rights or bond to this child because we are not 'blood' relation. That judge could not have been more wrong in my eyes.  I could not love her more if we were blood related.

Over the years, I have nursed her through her boo-boos, fevers, bad dreams, scrapes and bruises. She has been on vacation trips with us to Virginia, New York, Tennesee, etc. (Next month we are taking her to Disney World in Florida.)

For the past year and a half has lived with us. She has her own room in our home. She is my granddaughter in every sense of the word and we love her more than anything. She is my girl. :)

Here is a picture I would like to share of her with my youngest daughter taken a few years ago on one of our trips to the family cottage in upstate New York.  She is a happy, healthy, little red-head,  which in itself is a miracle. Had we not come into her life, I don't know what kind of life she may have had, but what I do know is, without her in ours, we would truly be missing something.

And here she is in a picture taken this weekend of her before she went out with a friend for a birthday party trip to the ballet. My little angel...most times, anyway. :)

I am the last stop.  Thanks for taking the time to participate in the Miracle Blog Hop. Hope you found some stories to brighten your day.

Today I am using the Alphalicious Cartridge, the April Showers Cartridge and the Inspired Heart Cartridge.
My first project is a scrapbook layout I made for a friend and her special little boy Ethan.  They have been through so much recently and I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her.

I took a sheet of paper from the DCWV Safari Kids Paper and then I cut the faith and love from Inspired Heart Cart. This is such a beautiful cartridge with wonderful sayings.
I wanted to keep it pretty simple so I just added a pinwheel I made using a Martha Stewart punch and added a little ribbon I had as well as cut another strip of the Safari Kids paper to add to the bottom. I then used my fabulous i-top and added a medium size brad. This is rapidly becoming my new favorite tool!

Add a little bit of stickles, (Distressed Vintage Photo and Rangers Lime Green) and I hope she likes it!
You can read more about Ethan on facebook in the Prayers for Ethan group.

My second project started out as a different card that when finished, I was not happy with. It was my first try at a slider card so maybe next time. :)

Anyhow, this is Imaginesce Hippity Hop paper and I can't tell you how beautiful it is. I purchased this from Erica and I believe it will be available in her store soon.

I cut a strip of 2 3/4 of one side and 1 3/4 of the other side and after inking, placed them on my card. Using the April Showers card, I cut the umbrella and rain boots at 2.5 inches. Added April cut at 1.5 and used the I-top to add a little extra. Some stickles, liquid pearls - my favorite new product and a spritz of glimmer, here it is.
I know it is not quite April yet, but we have had no snow and lots of rain, so I am just jumping ahead.

Thanks for looking and if you get lost, I will have the lineup at the bottom. You next stop is Yvette and I can't wait for you to see her wonderful creations!
